‘To innovate’ is the proclaimed motto of Lunar’s and to fulfil it requires a positive mindset, relentless observation and keen learning. This activity is propelled by the R & D Wing of the Company with its head quarter at Thodupuzha, Kerala. The wing, with all operating directors, representatives of Production, marketing and key accounts personnel is headed by one of the director. Equipped with most modern amenities, the wing analyses the local, national and international treads and assimilates those that are suitable for each unit, which consists of, the Plant Manager, Marketing head and the MD of the unit concerned. The consolidated meeting of all the members is held quarterly.

Readiness to learn and the sensibility to capture even the faintest shift in consumer’s interest and need are the obvious strong points of the wing. Updation of product features is a procedure of normal course in Lunar’s as modification of existing products would occur hand to hand with the introduction of new designs.
